Custom Domains

Custom Domains in Runwork let you brand your workspace with your own domain name—your apps appear at tools.yourcompany.com instead of a Runwork subdomain. This creates a professional, on-brand experience for your team and clients without managing any server infrastructure.

Setting up a custom domain follows a guided process. First, add your domain in the workspace settings. Runwork provides the DNS records you need to add—typically a CNAME record pointing your domain to Runwork's infrastructure. Once you add these records with your domain provider, Runwork automatically detects and verifies the configuration.

SSL certificates are handled completely automatically. After domain verification, Runwork provisions an SSL certificate for your domain and handles all renewals. Your users always connect over HTTPS without you managing certificates, private keys, or expiration dates. The entire SSL lifecycle is invisible to you—it just works.

You can configure multiple domains per workspace. This is useful for different audiences: maybe tools.yourcompany.com for internal teams and portal.yourcompany.com for client-facing apps. One domain is designated as primary, which is used in system-generated links and notifications.

Domain status is tracked throughout the process. See whether each domain is pending verification, successfully verified, or has encountered an issue. If DNS propagation is slow or records are misconfigured, the status shows exactly what's happening so you can troubleshoot effectively.
